Abstract
This practice story is part of a Master’s of Social Work essay written as the result of a specialized practice internship. It presents the findings and recommendations resulting from an adapted form of the “Couple Coping Enhancement Training” (CCET), a psychoeducational program based on the research on stress. This marital intervention program was tailored to meet the specific needs of French-speaking Canadian military couples, taking into consideration the numerous stressors military couples are exposed to (personal, family-related, professional, financial, environmental). This project was conducted with five military couples for a period of six months. In addition to the improvement of communicational and conflict management skills, the program aimed at improving mutual support and dyadic adjustment to external stressors.
