Five Linguistic Methods for Revitalizing Indigenous Laws[Notice]

Associate Professor and Chancellor’s Chair in Aboriginal Law and Policy at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, counsel with Burchells Wickwire Bryson LLP in Halifax, NS, and member of the Listuguj Mi’gmaq First Nation, located within the Gespègewàgi district of Mìgmàgi. I am the daughter of renowned Mìgmaq linguist, the late Emmanuel Nàgùgwes Metallic, and have been actively learning my language since 2018 under my sister, Jessica Metallic, who is a Mìgmaq language teacher in Listuguj. I dedicate this paper to both my Dad and sister.
