Résumé
En insistant sur l’importance des sens dans la pratique de la remémoration sociale, le présent article prend ses distances avec les méthodologies logocentriques qui, dans les recherches sur la mémoire, privilégient le récit et le texte. Prenant pour objet d’analyse ethnographique un musée en plein air consacré à la commémoration de l’histoire soviétique de la Lituanie, il examinera comment la vue et le goût sont mobilisés pour déclencher des souvenirs qui agissent comme trait d’union entre le passé socialiste du pays et son présent « capitaliste ». Cet article démontrera, par ailleurs, que ce musée constitue un lieu ethnographique approprié pour formuler une critique des approches simplistes et unilinéaires appliquées aux changements systémiques qui, après la fin du régime communiste, continuent de se produire en Europe orientale.

Abstract
Distancing itself from logocentric methodologies that privilege narrative and text in memory research, this paper insists on the importance of the senses in practices of social recall. Through ethnographic analysis of an open-air museum commemorating Soviet history in today’s Lithuania, it examines differential ways in which sight and taste are mobilized as memory media for linking the nation’s socialist past with its “capitalist” present. The paper also argues that this museum constitutes an apt ethnographic locus in which to critique unproblematic unilinear approaches to the ongoing systemic change in the European East after Communist rule.

Resumen
Al enfatizar la importancia de los sentidos en la práctica del recuerdo social, el presente artículo toma sus distancias con las metodologías logocéntricas que, en las investigaciones sobre la memoria, privilegian la narración y el texto. Tomando como objeto de análisis etnográfico un museo al aire libre consagrado a la conmemoración de la historia soviética de Lituania, se examina como la vista y el gusto se estimulan para desencadenar los recuerdos que actúan como intermediarios entre el pasado socialista del país y su presente « capitalista ». Este artículo demuestra, por otro lado, que dicho museo constituye un sitio etnográfico apropiado para formular una crítica de los enfoques simplistas y unilineales que se aplican a los cambios sistémicos que, ya terminado el régimen comunista, siguen produciéndose en Europa oriental.
