Études d’histoire urbaine en Italie : résultats et tendances

Résumé

Cet article présente un bilan des principales orientations de la recherche en histoire urbaine réalisée en Italie au cours des vingt dernières années et portant sur la période 1850-1970. Pour l’auteur, l’orientation des études récentes ne peut se comprendre sans un examen des transformations radicales qui, au cours des dernières décennies, ont touché l’organisation urbaine et territoriale de l’Italie. L’article présente les travaux les plus significatifs en les regroupant autour de certains thèmes.

Abstract

This paper offers an assessment of the major trends of the research on urban history carried on in Italy during the last two decades and dealing with the period 1850-1970. According to the autor, it is impossible to understand the recent studies without a careful examination of the major transformations of the Italian urban and regional structures during recent decades. The paper presents in a thematical order the most significant publications.
