Les cendres bleues. Du rapport d’un « Poème érotique » et d’un « Poème policier » Blue Ashes: Of/Apropos of the Relation of “An erotic poem” and “A detective poem”

Cet article prend en analyse Les cendres bleues (1990), poème-recueil de Jean-Paul Daoust, écrivain québécois. Il aborde quelques aspects proprement narratifs (la diégèse, les variantes d’une même scène) et autobiographiques (l’écart entre l’anecdote et la fiction, entre la rédaction d’un témoignage et l’écriture d’un texte) de ce récit coulé dans la forme extérieure d’un poème d’une seule strophe de 1 827 vers sans ponctuation, non sans en considérer l’incipit et la clausule ainsi que l’hypertexte et quelques-uns des intertextes.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze Les cendres bleues, a narrative poem composed of a single 1,827-line stanza without punctuation published in 1990 by Québec writer Jean-Paul Daoust. The article deals with certain aspects of the work that are clearly narrative (diegesis, variants on a same scene) and autobiographical (the gap between anecdote and fiction, writing a first-person account and writing a text). It also takes into consideration the poem’s incipit and clausula as well as the hypertext and a few of the intertexts.
