Abstract
The contemporary enthusiasm for the educational approach introduced by Maria Montessori is undeniable, both within professional networks and the global scientific community. The scientific body of research on the effects of this approach on learners is promising, yet still exploratory, with its main methodological limitation being the lack of evaluation of the fidelity of its implementation in the schools from which samples are drawn. To address this issue, this study proposes a logic model of the primary Montessori curriculum (6 to 12 years) which incorporates the contextual factors influencing its implementation.
