Abstract
Distance teaching (DT) became almost universal at universities when COVID‑19 restrictions started. This paper reports on the impact of DT practices learned by university teaching personnel during the pandemic and their continued use after the return to in-person teaching.. Quantitative and qualitative results from a study of university teaching personnel at three points in time during 2020-2021 provide information about the evolution of DT and the accompanying perception of self-efficacy (SEP). Together, these reveal the prospects for the ongoing application of technico-pedagogical methods and tools after the pandemic. As a study participant noted: our teaching methods have changed forever.
