Objet : actualisation de la datation de la présente parution de Phytoprotection.

Chers lecteurs,

La numérotation et la datation des volumes de Phytoprotection, sous la formule actuelle de trois numéros par an, ont pris un retard considérable. Le rythme n’a pas tenu malgré la parution du numéro double de la commémoration du centenaire de la Société de protection des plantes du Québec. En conséquence, le comité de rédaction de Phytoprotection et le conseil d’administration de la Société ont pris la décision que le présent numéro portera l’inscription Volume 91 (2010 - 2011).

D’une part, nous voulons simplement éviter qu’un manuscrit soumis en 2011 et bientôt en 2012 ne paraisse dans un numéro daté de 2010. D’autre part, le comité de rédaction et la direction de la revue estiment que cet ajustement est essentiel avant la mise en place de la très attendue structure intégrée de soumission de manuscrits, d’évaluation et de publication en ligne de type Online Journal Publishing ou Open Access au cours de la prochaine année.

Subject: updating of the current Phytoprotection issue’s date.

Dear readers,

Phytoprotection is usually published three times a year; however, there currently is a considerable delay in the date and volume number of the journal. Despite the publication of a double issue to commemorate the centennial of the Québec Society for the Protection of Plants, it has been impossible to keep up with the time set for publication. Consequently, the Editorial Board of Phytoprotection and the Society’s Board of Directors have decided that the present issue would be published as Volume 91 (2010 - 2011).

First, we simply wish to avoid a situation in which a manuscript submitted in 2011, and soon in 2012, would be published in a volume dated as 2010. Second, the Editorial Board and Directors of the journal consider this update to be essential given the upcoming implementation of the much awaited integrated structure for manuscript submission, evaluation and online publication, similar to Online Journal Publishing and Open Access, within the next year.
