George Warecki
George Warecki is an Associate Professor of History at Brescia University College in London, Ontario. He began teaching there in 1993 on a contract basis, and has been a full-time faculty member since 2002. Warecki teaches courses in Canadian History and Environmental History. His research interests include the history of wilderness protection and public parks policy. He continues to work on a full-length biography of J.R. Dymond (1887-1965), a zoologist, educator, and conservationist. Warecki’s published work includes J.R. Dymond: Scientific Research, Nature Reserves, and the Interpretive Program in Algonquin Provincial Park, 1931-1954 (The Friends of Algonquin Park, 2019).
