Biographical note
Michael C. Clody is an Associate Professor of Literature at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, where he teaches a wide variety of topics, including Horror, Medieval and Early Modern Literature, Critical Theory, and the History of Poetics. His essays have appeared in Configurations, ELH, Criticism, and Philological Quarterly as well as in collections dedicated to Rhyme and Cryptography. He is currently working on a longer study of the interrelation between tragedy and horror, with a special interest in the aesthetics and origins of slasher films.
