Résumé
Préparer les étudiants de la santé et du social à exercer en contexte de diversité constitue un défi éducatif. Les lignes directrices quant aux modèles théoriques et pédagogiques à adopter et aux contenus à enseigner restent floues. Avec la méthode « café du monde », cette étude vise à valider des recommandations pour faciliter l’acquisition de compétences interculturelles et les enrichir auprès des différents partenaires. Les 41 participants indiquent la nécessité de bonifier la formation initiale et d’inclure des cours spécifiques à l’intervention interculturelle grâce à diverses méthodes pédagogiques. Plusieurs suggèrent la consolidation des acquis des superviseurs de stage concernant cette approche. Considérant la présence de plus en plus nombreuse d’individus aux ancrages culturels différents, il importe d’ajuster la formation.

Abstract
Preparing health and social care students to practice in a context of diversity is an educational challenge. Guidelines for the adoption of theoretical models and the teaching of pedagogical content remain unclear. Using the “world café” method, this study aims to validate recommendations facilitating the acquisition of intercultural competences and enriching them with various partners. The 41 participants indicated the need to improve initial training and to include specific courses on intercultural intervention using a variety of teaching methods. Several suggest consolidating internship supervisors’ prior learnings regarding this approach. Considering the increase of individuals from different cultural backgrounds, it is important to adjust training programs.
