Résumé
Cet article propose une revue systématique de la littérature sur le concept multiforme de « choc exogène » dans le champ du management international (MI). La propagation des chocs et l’ampleur de leurs conséquences attirent l’attention des chercheurs en MI sur la manière dont ces phénomènes rares, imprévisibles et brutaux sont perçus et gérés par les entreprises présentes à l’étranger. Cette recherche, basée sur une analyse de contenu de 176 articles, dresse les tendances de la recherche avec une définition de travail, une typologie des chocs ainsi que huit pistes de recherche pour les travaux futurs en MI.

Abstract
This article proposes a systematic review on the multifaceted concept of “exogenous shock” in the field of international business (IB). The spread of shocks and the magnitude of their consequences are drawing the attention of IB researchers to how these rare, unpredictable and brutal phenomena are perceived and managed by firms operating abroad. This research, based on a content analysis of 176 articles, provides research trends with a definition, a typology of shocks as well as eight research avenues for future IB research.

Resumen
Este artículo propone una revisión sistemática de la literatura sobre el concepto multifacético de “choque exógeno” en el ámbito de la gestión internacional (GI). La propagación de los choques y la magnitud de sus consecuencias llaman la atención de los investigadores en MI en la forma en que estos acontecimientos raros, imprevisibles y brutales son percibidos y gestionados por las empresas que operan en el extranjero. Esta investigación, basada en un análisis de contenido de 176 artículos, identifica las tendencias de la investigación con una definición, una tipología de los choques, así como ocho direcciones de investigación para futuros trabajos en GI.
