Biographical note
Murray Dineen is a professor in the University of Ottawa’s School of Music. A former editor of Intersections, he is now at work on research in leftist music aesthetics in Central Europe between the two world wars. He is preparing a translation of a Marxist treatise on music by Kurt Blaukopf writing under the pseudonym Hans Wind in Austria in 1935. His most recent book is Friendly Remainders: Essays in Musical Criticism After Adorno.
