Résumé

Entré rapidement et durablement dans les histoires et encyclopédies de l’architecture après avoir été intensément médiatisé jusqu’à sa réalisation, Habitat 67 s’avère un objet tout indiqué pour la recherche sur les rapports qu’entretiennent, à l’ère de l’information, le traitement de l’actualité architecturale, la critique et l’historiographie. L’auteur s’attache ici à démontrer que l’iconographie du chantier d’Habitat 67 dans la presse spécialisée constitue une matérialisation médiatique de la ville-système qui avait réussi à s’imposer à l’échelle internationale dans les pages consacrées à la recherche des grandes revues d’architecture.

Abstract

Having quickly appeared in the histories and encyclopedias of architecture after having been intensely mediatized until its completion, Habitat 67 is an ideal object to study the relationship between news coverage, architectural critique and historiography in the information era. The author wishes to demonstrate that the iconography of the Habitat 67 site, as it appeared in the specialized press, constitutes a media materialization of the system-city which had imposed itself internationally in the pages devoted to research of major architecture magazines.
