Aboriginal: A collective term for Inuit, First Nation, and Métis peoples.

First Nation: Describes persons that self-identify as First Nation regardless of Indian Status. The term is also used to describe First Nation governments (collectively) and organizations serving First Nation peoples. Authors are encouraged to use the names of specific First Nation communities, organizations and governments whenever possible.

Indigenous: Persons who self-identify as Indigenous. Term often used in an international context.
