Résumé
Le présent article discute de la relation ambiguë qui existe entre les comportements violents et la violence qui est dépeinte dans les jeux vidéo. L’objectif de l’analyse est de mieux comprendre la vision qu’ont les joueurs de la violence véhiculée dans les jeux vidéo. Cela nous permettra non seulement de cerner la portée du discours ambiant touchant à la question de la violence dans les jeux vidéo, mais cela nous donnera aussi l’occasion d’évaluer la cohérence du discours des joueurs par rapport à cette dite violence.

Abstract
The present paper discusses the ambiguity in the relation between violent behaviour and the way that violence is shown in video games. The goal of the analysis is to better understand the gamer’s view of the violence perpetrated in video games. This understanding will not only give us a better view of the common sense knowledge revolving on the matter, but it will also enable us to evaluate the discursive coherence that the gamers have concerning that violence.

Resumen
El presente articulo trata la relación ambigua que existe entre los comportamientos violentos y la violencia representada en los video juegos. El objetivo de dicho análisis es de llegar a una mejor comprensión de la visión que los jugadores poseen de la violencia vehiculizada en los video-juegos. Esto nos permitirá no solamente de identificar el alcance del discurso imperante en lo que concierne a la violencia en los video-juegos, sino que también nos dará la ocasión de evaluar la coherencia del discurso de los jugadores en relación a dicha violencia.
