Abstract
This article focuses on a web application, Le Francopass (FP), that was developed in 2019 by a team of researchers and students at the University of Alberta with the goal of encouraging users to improve their knowledge of French and Francophone cultures. After presenting the context that gave rise to the FP, we will describe the pedagogical principles on which the application is based. In the third part, we will describe how the application works, and then share the results of research conducted with French second language and immersion teachers on the perceived benefits of the FP.
