Cette recherche a pour objectif de comprendre le processus de désistance à partir de l’étude du récit de trois adolescents délinquants récidivistes. Pour ce faire, ces jeunes en transition vers l’âge adulte ont réalisé un entretien semi-directif puis ont répondu à quelques questionnaires. Les données collectées ont été analysées en suivant la méthode de l’Interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA), dont l’objectif est de comprendre un phénomène en profondeur (Smith & Osboren, 2003). L’analyse fait émerger une série de thèmes dont la complexité de sortir de la délinquance, le sentiment d’ambivalence, la balance décisionnelle et le poids de l’entourage.
