Abstract
How can the collaboration between practitioners and academics contribute to generating knowledge used in the development of new organizational practices? Drawing on the concept of “Bâ,” we analyze an exemplary case of collaboration between a researcher and HR practitioners to develop a talent management strategy specific to production operators in an industrial automotive company facing the challenges of Industry 4.0. By distinguishing a specific collaborative “Ba,” we account for the reflexivity generated and the interactions of differentiated knowledge conducive to the creation of new organizational knowledge and practices.
