1946 — L’histoire du Canada dans l’oeuvre de Maurice Constantin-Weyer.Abstract
La plupart des gens connaissent Maurice Constantin-Weyer comme l’auteur d’Un homme se penche sur son passé. C’est ce livre qui lui valut le Prix Goncourt en 1928. A part ce livre dont l’histoire se déroule dans l’ouest du Canada, Constantin-Weyer a écrit une trentaine de livres. Parmi eux, il y a une quinzaine où le lecteur se trouve dans un milieu canadien. On a cherché à déterminer avec quelle exactitude la traduction rend la valeur des oeuvres de Romains et avec quelle fidélité l’atmosphère du roman français est rendue pour le lecteur américain.
