Hommage de la Société canadienne de phytopathologie Canadian Phytopathological Society Homage

Au nom de la Société canadienne de phytopathologie (SCP), le Dr Richard Bélanger a présenté une plaque commémorative en hommage à la Société de protection des plantes du Québec (SPPQ). La Société canadienne de phytopathologie et ses membres félicitent la Société de protection des plantes du Québec à l’occasion de son centième anniversaire. La SCP et ses membres rendent ainsi hommage à la SPPQ pour sa contribution soutenue et exceptionnelle à la promotion de la protection des plantes au cours des 100 dernières années. Plusieurs membres de la Société canadienne de phytopathologie ont assisté à la journée commémorative et à la remise de la plaque de la SCP, dont les anciens présidents de la SCP Ralph H. Estey, Robin Morrall, Richard Hamelin et André Lévesque.

Plaque présentée au Dr Gilles Émond, président du comité du centenaire, par le Dr Richard R. Bélanger, lauréat de l'hommage William-P.-Fraser/Alain Asselin. Le Dr Bélanger, président de la SPPQ en 1992-1993, est président élu de la Société canadienne de phytopathologie (2007-2010).

In the name of the Canadian Phytopathological Society (CPS), Dr. Richard Bélanger presented a commemorative plaque to honour the Quebec Society for the Protection of Plants (QSPP). The Canadian Phytopathological Society and its members congratulate the Quebec Society for the Protection of Plants on the occasion of its 100th anniversary. The CPS and its members thus pay tribute to the QSPP for its sustained and exceptional contribution to the promotion of plant protection over the last 100 years. Several members of the Canadian Phytopathological Society were present on this day of commemoration to attend the presentation of the CPS plaque, including former CPS presidents Ralph H. Estey, Robin Morrall, Richard Hamelin and André Lévesque.

Plaque presented to Dr. Gilles Émond, president of the Centennial Committee, by Dr. Richard R. Bélanger, recipient of William-P.-Fraser/Alain Asselin Homage. Dr. Bélanger, president of the QSPP in 1992-1993, is president elect of the Canadian Phytopathological Society (2007-2010).
