Résumé
L’agression sexuelle entraîne des conséquences importantes chez la victime. Un soutien social inadéquat peut avoir un impact sur l’état psychologique de la victime et nuire à son ajustement. Le présent article a pour but de dresser un portrait des diverses réactions de soutien liées à l’agression sexuelle et de leur impact sur l’état psychologique des victimes, les symptômes post-traumatiques et le rétablissement. L’apport particulier du conjoint chez les victimes vivant en couple est exposé. L’impact des conséquences de l’agression sexuelle sur la qualité du soutien est également présenté. Suivent les implications cliniques et pistes de recherche.
Abstract
Sexual assault results in important consequences for victims. An inadequate social support may have an impact on the victim’s psychological condition and interfere with her adjustment. The purpose of the present article is to describe different support reactions linked to sexual assault and their impact on the psychological condition of the victims, the posttraumatic symptoms and the recovery. The specific contribution of the spouse living with the victim is exposed. The impact of the consequences resulting from the sexual assault on the quality of the support is also presented. Finally, clinical implications and research approach are proposed.
Resumen
La agresión sexual acarrea consecuencias importantes en la víctima. Un apoyo social inadecuado puede tener un impacto sobre el estado psicológico de la víctima y afectar su ajuste. El presente artículo tiene por objetivo presentar una descripción de las diversas reacciones de apoyo relacionadas con la agresión sexual y su impacto en el estado psicológico de las víctimas, los síntomas postraumáticos y el reestablecimiento. Se expone la aportación particular del cónyuge a las víctimas que viven en pareja. También se presenta el impacto de las consecuencias de la agresión sexual en la calidad del apoyo. Después siguen las implicaciones clínicas y las pistas de investigación.
Resumo
A agressão sexual leva a conseqüências importantes na vítima. Um apoio social inadequado pode ter um impacto no estado psicológico da vítima e atrapalhar seu ajustamento. O presente artigo tem por objetivo apresentar um perfil das diversas reações de apoio ligadas à agressão sexual e de seu impacto no estado psicológico das vítimas, os sintomas pós-traumáticos e o restabelecimento. O artigo expõe a contribuição particular do cônjuge nas vítimas que vivem em casal. O impacto das conseqüências da agressão sexual na qualidade do apoio é igualmente apresentado. E finalmente, as implicações clínicas e pistas de pesquisa.
