Résumé
La question des liens entre école-famille est abordée à travers l’analyse de la prise en compte, à l’école, des connaissances linguistiques acquises au foyer. Nous adoptons la perspective théorique de la socialisation langagière pour examiner des données ethnographiques sur deux élèves de familles immigrantes, suivies pendant sept ans, qui étaient inscrites dans un programme d’immersion française de la région de Vancouver. Des données recueillies sur le terrain scolaire et en milieu familial sont comparées pour illustrer comment les ressources linguistiques des enfants plurilingues peuvent être soit validées, soit pas du tout reconnues à l’école.

Summary
The issue of links between schools and families is addressed in an analysis of the ways schools account for languages learned at home. A language socialization perspective is adopted as a theoretical lens to examine ethnographic data documenting the experiences of two students from immigrant families who were observed over seven years and were enrolled in a French Immersion program in the Vancouver area. Data gathered at school and in the family setting are compared to illustrate how multilingual students’ language resources might be validated or not at all recognized by schools.

Resumen
En este artículo, se trata de la cuestión de los vínculos entre escuela-familia a través del análisis de la toma en cuenta, en la escuela, de los conocimientos lingüísticos adquiridos en casa. Adoptamos la perspectiva teórica de la socialización del lenguaje para examinar unos datos etnográficos sobre dos alumnas de familias inmigrantes, seguidas durante siete años, que estaban inscritas en un programa de inmersión francesa de la región de Vancouver. Se comparan algunos datos colectados sobre el terreno escolar y en el ámbito familiar para ilustrar cómo los recursos lingüísticos de niños plurilingües pueden ser, o validados, o quedar sin ningún reconocimiento en la escuela.
