Résumé
L’activité conflictuelle peut être étudiée par l’entremise de la presse écrite. À travers la visibilité médiatique accordée aux femmes, il est possible d’examiner leur implication dans ce type d’activité. Dans la région de Québec, 2 095 conflits urbains ont été recensés entre 1965 et 2000. Trois périodes : 1965-1977, 1978-1989 et 1990-2000 se distinguent par d’importantes différences quant à la participation des femmes dans les conflits : types de protagonistes, types de conflits, enjeux, ou encore rôles adoptés pour prendre position.
Abstract
Conflictual activity may be studied by means of print media content. Through the media visibility given to women, it is possible to examine their involvement in this type of activity. In the Quebec City region, 2,095 urban conflicts have been surveyed between 1965 and 2000. Three periods, 1965-1977, 1978-1989, and 1990-2000, are distinguished by substantial differences in the involvement of women in conflicts : types of protagonists, types of conflicts, issues, or roles adopted to take a position.
