Abstract
This article presents the results of a descriptive study on the identification of internalizing symptoms and disorders among young offenders. The research relies on 22 youth male offenders, from the ages of 14 to 18, under the care of a youth center. First, the study examines internalizing symptoms and disorders mentioned in pre-sentence reports (PSRs). Following this, the internalizing symptoms and disorders listed in the PSRs are compared to youth self-reports, with the aim of identifying consistencies and/or discrepancies. To conclude, future avenues for research and interventions are suggested.
