The Review of Economic Analysis is an open access, general interest digital economic journal with a mission to maintain the highest academic standards. It is the official journal of the International Centre for Economic Analysis (ICEA), a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to the advancement and research in economics and other social sciences. ICEA is an international centre, with chapters in Canada, at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario; in Poland, at the University of Warsaw and in Italy, at the University of Siena.

OPEN ACCESS
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
FEES
Review of Economic Analysis does not charge submission or publication fees.
PUBLICATION ETHICS
Authors and reviewers should observe high standards with respect to publication ethics as set out by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). These standards are followed by journal editors.
Falsification or fabrication of data, plagiarism, including duplicate publication of the authors' own work without proper citation, and misappropriation of the work are all unacceptable practices. Any cases of ethical misconduct are treated very seriously and will be dealt with in accordance with the COPE guidelines.

TURNAROUND
The essence of an open access, web-based journal is speed, subject to thorough peer review.
All submissions to the journal are first reviewed by the co-editors. The initial stage determines whether the submission is of high quality and should be sent to reviewers. This process allows for fast decision on unpromissing manuscripts so that authors do not need to wait for the review process.
For papers sent to referees, we aim to provide the first decision within 12 weeks of submission. If the co-editor in charge of the paper requests a revision, we expect the revision be submitted within 9 months. Most editorial decisions are made promptly after the first round. If a second round of revision is required, we aim to provide the second decision within 12 weeks.

Papers published in the Review of Economic Analysis are released under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Licence. This license allows anyone to copy, distribute and transmit the work provided the use is non-commercial and appropriate attribution is given.

Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in PDF or MSWord.
- The paper must be written in English.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
Author Guidelines
Submission of the paper is taken to mean that it contains original work that has not been published previously and that it is not considered simultaneously for publication elsewhere. If related work has been submitted elsewhere, the author(s) should provide the editor with details.
Upon submission, the paper is allocated to one of the editors. The editor in charge is responsible for all stages of the refereeing process and for the final decision.
SUBMISSION FORMAT
The paper must be written in English. The submission format is PDF or MSWord.
The first page should include:
- the title, name(s) and complete affiliation(s) of the author(s),
- abstract of no more than 200 words,
- the name and address, including the telephone and fax numbers, of the corresponding author,
- Journal of Economic Literature classification numbers. They can be obtained here,
- up to 10 keywords,
- a footnote with acknowledgements. It should not be included in the numbering of footnotes.
Footnotes should be numbered consecutively with superscript Arabic numeral at the bottom of each page. Excessive footnotes should be avoided.
Sections of the text should be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals. Subsections, if numbered, should be consecutive, i.e. 2.1, 2.2, ...
Formulae should be numbered consecutively on the right hand of the page as follows: (1), (2)...
Tables should be numbered consecutively in the order they are referred to in the text. Each table should include a brief descriptive title. Tables should be included in the text, not at the end of the paper. The authors should make sure that the size of the font in tables is similar to the size of text font.
Figures should be numbered consecutively in the order they are referred to in the text. Each figure should include a brief descriptive title. Figure should be included in the text, not at the end of the paper. Authors should make sure that the size of font in figures is readable, preferably similar to the size of the text.
The order of the paper is text, followed by appendix and references.
REFERENCES
Authors should make sure that reference list is complete and that every referenced work is cited in the paper. Citations in text should be as follows: "As Friedman (1956) points out"; "(earlier shown by Johnson, 2004)". Initials may be used when ambiguous. For articles with more than two co-authors, use first author's name followed by "et al.": "Recently, Cahuc et al. (2006) have considered"
When the paper is accepted, the references should be formatted as follows.
References should be placed at the end of the paper, double spaced. They should be ordered alphabetically by the first author, then by the second author etc., then chronologically. References for multiple papers by the same author(s) in a single year should be distinguished by letters following the year (e.g. 2006a, 2006b).
