Résumé
Cette note de recherche présente un survol de la situation au Québec et au Canada concernant la formation d’Autochtones en archéologie. Les différentes communautés autochtones du Québec veulent développer leurs capacités internes pour gérer les ressources archéologiques sur leur territoire. Pour ce faire, il faut former plus d’Autochtones en archéologie. Les défis sont nombreux en ce qui concerne la formation, et l’accréditation des archéologues au Québec demeure un problème. Pour la formation des Autochtones en archéologie au Québec, l’auteur propose un modèle général qui sera adapté aux besoins et aux réalités de chaque communauté.

Abstract
This research note presents an overview of the current situation in Quebec and Canada regarding the training of Aboriginal archaeologists. The various Aboriginal communities of Quebec wish to develop their capacity to manage archaeological resources for themselves on their territory. To do this we must train more Aboriginal archaeologists. Several challenges exist that are specific to training, and there is the additional problem surrounding the certification of archaeologists in Quebec. We propose a general model for the training of Aboriginal archaeologists in Quebec that will be adapted to the needs and realities of each community.

Resumen
Esta nota de investigación presenta una breve síntesis de la situación en Quebec y en Canadá sobre la formación de arqueólogos indígenas. Las varias comunidades indígenas de Quebec quieren desarrollar su capacidad interna para gestionar los recursos arqueológicos sobre su territorio. Para lograr hacer esto es necesario formar más arqueólogos indígenas. Varios desafíos se presentan en cuanto a la formación, y también existe el problema de la certificación de los arqueólogos en Quebec. Proponemos un modelo general para la formación de arqueólogos indígenas en Quebec que será adaptado a los deseos y a las realidades de las comunidades indígenas.
