Biographical notes
Olga Artemeva is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art History at the Russian State University for the Humanities. She is also a screenwriter, film critic, and festival programmer (for the Moscow International Film Festival and more). From 2018 to 2021, she curated film screenings at the Film Museum in Moscow. She is regularly involved in both Russian and international productions, including Lebanese, US, French, among others.
Felix Helbing is a PhD candidate at the University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures. He is currently finishing a dissertation on Soviet labor theorist Aleksei Gastev that examines the intersection of technology and the body as envisioned within Gastev’s utopia of mechanized collectivism. Felix’s additional research interests include the philosophical writings of Aleksandr Bogdanov, digital media—especially video games—and, more recently, industrialization and the body in Tolstoy’s late work.
