Biographical note
Sharon Graham is an independent scholar who lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with her family. She is an historian of Canada’s Jewish community, with a special emphasis on the history of children’s care within the Canadian social service sector of the early twentieth century. Her doctoral studies focused on the history of the Jewish Orphanage of Western Canada. Previous scholarly endeavours include a master’s degree which focused on early synagogue architecture in Toronto. She is currently serving as the Winnipeg Section president of the National Council of Jewish Women of Canada.
