Biographical note
Jennifer Bain, chair of the Department of Music at Dalhousie University, has published articles and book chapters on the secular music of fourteenth-century poet and composer Guillaume de Machaut, on medieval chant, and on the nineteenth- and twentieth-century reception of the music of Hildegard of Bingen. Guest editor for an issue of the Journal of Music Theory (2008), she also served as co-editor with Deborah McGrady on A Companion to Guillaume de Machaut (2012).
