Note biographique
René Beaudoin est un historien, un professeur, un communicateur et un reconstituteur. Il est bien connu pour son personnage de fondeur de cuillères. Il est professeur au programme de tourisme du Collège Laflèche à Trois-Rivières, où il enseigne particulièrement la mise en tourisme du patrimoine et de la culture. Il oeuvre dans l’animation et le développement de sites historiques et de musées. Il participe régulièrement à des émissions télévisées et radiophoniques, et il publie des textes dans des périodiques et des sites web. Il utilise activement les médias sociaux. Ses nombreuses implications lui ont valu plusieurs prix et mentions d’honneur, dont la déclaration du 10 avril 2018 à l’Assemblée nationale du Québec. Il a été membre du conseil d’administration de la Fédération des sociétés d’histoire du Québec en 1981-1986 et en 1990-1991.
