Stanislavski et Meyerhold : pionniers de la pédagogie théâtrale

Résumé

Malgré leurs méthodes différentes, Stanislavski et Meyerhold se rejoignent sur un point capital: fonder l'art théâtral sur des bases scientifiques, mettant ainsi fin aux mythes du talent et de l'inspiration. Pour le réaliser, ils fondèrent des écoles destinées à la formation de l'acteur, où une pédagogie originale et rigoureuse était, pour la première fois, appliquée. De ce fait, ils peuvent être considérés comme les pionniers non seulement du théâtre russe mais aussi du théâtre contemporain occidental.

Abstract

Despite their different methods, Stanislavski and Meyer hold agree on one important point: that theatrical art must be founded on a scientific base. Thus putting an end to the myths of talent and inspiration. To attain this goal, they founded schools for the train ing of actors where an original and rigourous method of teaching was followed for the first time. Because of this they can be considered pioneers, not only in the Russian theatre but in the contemporary western theatre.
