Résumé

Quels rapports y a-t-il entre la déconstruction et la méthode (cartésienne) ? Peut-on parler de « gestes déconstructeurs » ? Comment définir la déconstruction ? Ce texte tentera d’approcher ces questions à partir de plusieurs « définitions » du philosophe relatives au motif de la déconstruc­tion. En suivant l’échange qui se poursuit entre Paul de Man et Jacques Derrida dans Mémoires. Pour Paul de Man, puis en commentant l’article de Derrida « La langue et le discours de la méthode », en s’interrogeant ­ensuite sur les « métaphores » du coin et du levier, l’auteur en arrive à penser la déconstruction comme lecture, comme écriture, comme chemin toujours à tracer. La fin du texte interroge également plus brièvement les rapports entre la déconstruction et la psychanalyse.

Abstract

Is it possible to establish a connection between deconstruction and the (Cartesian) method ? Can we speak about “deconstructive gestures” ? This paper attempts to broach these questions from several “definitions” made by the philosopher concerning the deconstruction figure. Following the exchange taking place between Paul de Man and himself in Mémoires. Pour Paul de Man, commenting on Derrida’s text “La langue et le discours de la méthode,” wondering about the corner and the lever “metaphors”, the author thinks deconstruction as Reading, as Writing, as a path always to be laid out. Lastly, the author attempts to examine more brieftly the connections between deconstruction and psychoanalysis.
