Note biographique
Alexia Pinto Ferretti est doctorante en histoire de l’art à l’Université de Montréal. S’inscrivant dans une démarche de rapprochement interculturel dans sa vie professionnelle et académique, elle a occupé des postes universitaires d’auxiliaire de recherche et d’enseignante. Elle a aussi été assistante au commissariat et rédactrice pour des organismes tels Vues d’Afrique, le Musée des maîtres et artisans et le webzine inVISIBLES. Ses recherches doctorales portent sur les stratégies d’autoreprésentation de l’identité autochtone dans le travail d’artistes des Premières Nations s’intéressant au cyberespace.

Biographical note
Alexia Pinto Ferretti is pursuing doctoral studies in art history at Université de Montréal. Applying an intercultural approach of mutual understanding to her professional and academic life, she has held positions as both a research and a teaching assistant. She also has been a curatorial assistant and a writer for organizations such as Vues d’Afrique, Musée des maîtres et artisans and the webzine inVISIBLES. Her doctoral research focuses on self-representation strategies of Native identity in the work of First Nation artists who are interested in cyberspace.
