Note biographique
Julie Alary Lavallée prépare sa thèse de doctorat en histoire de l’art sur l’art contemporain de l’Inde dans le champ des études muséales, mondiales et diasporiques. Coordonnatrice des communications et des archives au centre d’artistes OPTICA, elle collabore en tant qu’auteure auprès de diverses galeries montréalaises et publie régulièrement à titre de critique d’art. Outre la présentation de ses recherches universitaires, ici comme à l’étranger, elle est membre du comité d’administration du Studio XX.

Biographical note
Julie Alary Lavallée is currently working on a doctorate in Art History on contemporary Indian art, in the field of museum studies, and global and diaspora studies. She is the communication and archives coordinator at the artist-run centre OPTICA. She has authored texts for various Montreal galleries and as an art critic she regularly contributes texts to a range if publications. In addition to presenting her university research, here and abroad, she is a member of Studio XX’s board of directors.
