Abstract
This research describes and analyses how Senegalese university librarians reconcile professional values and cultural values. After outlining and describing the cultural and professional values systems of academic librarians, this article explores how they bring together both value systems. In our opinion, reconciliation is based on how they adapt, bring together and find coherence with the professional and cultural values.
