Abstract
To support evidence based decision making, for updating and enhancing authentic Library and Information Studies (LIS) curriculum, or supporting services, programs, and other evaluative practices within various library settings, this exploratory quantitative content analysis examined the scope of Canadian LIS research. In total, 4354 peer reviewed research articles from 25 LIS journals published between 2015-2022, were coded for Canadian content, author affiliation, and sector representation. Percentages of Canadian content and authorship from this point in time analysis align with previous studies, showing that Canadian content and authors are less prevalent compared to those from the USA, with a strong emphasis on academic libraries and academic affiliated authors. A shortlist of key academic journals with significant Canadian representation was also compiled and shared to aid in gathering evidence about Canadian libraries.

Résumé
Pour soutenir la prise de décision basée sur des preuves, pour mettre à jour et améliorer le programme authentique des études en bibliothéconomie et sciences de l’information (LIS), ou pour soutenir les services, programmes et autres pratiques évaluatives au sein de divers environnements de bibliothèques, cette analyse exploratoire quantitative de contenu a examiné la portée de la recherche canadienne en LIS. Au total, 4354 articles de recherche évalués par des pairs provenant de 25 revues LIS publiées entre 2015 et 2022 ont été codés pour le contenu canadien, l’affiliation des auteurs et la représentation sectorielle. Les pourcentages de contenu et d’auteurs canadiens de cette analyse ponctuelle s’alignent avec les études précédentes, montrant que le contenu et les auteurs canadiens sont moins présents par rapport à ceux des États-Unis, avec un fort accent sur les bibliothèques académiques et les auteurs affiliés à des institutions académiques. Une liste restreinte de revues académiques clés avec une représentation canadienne significative a également été compilée et partagée pour aider à recueillir des preuves sur les bibliothèques canadiennes.
