L’auteur trace ici un parcours chronologique de sa carrière de compositeur. Il en ressort que le hautbois est l’instrument privilégié pour ce créateur qui découvrit en Pologne, lors de stages d’études avec Penderecki, une autre façon d’être. De Québec à Winnipeg, en passant par la Pologne, pour enfin revenir à Québec — au fil d’oeuvres souvent symphoniques —, c’est un parcours original qui est présenté.

Abstract

The author gives here a chronological account of his composenitional career. It is learned that the oboe is a very special instrument for him, that he learned in Poland, “ another way of being ”, a discovery made while studying with Penderecki. From Quebec to Winnipeg, by way of Poland, finally returning to Quebec — and also by way of the composition of symphonic works — it is an unusually original story that is presented.
