Les territoires de la ville : la mondialisation comme aventure urbaine

Résumé

Les nouveaux territoires urbains que nous propose le regard postmoderne existent-ils vraiment ou découlent-ils d'une imagination géographique en manque d'inexploré? Et si les multiples identités que nous impose un monde fini nous poussaient à leur tour à toujours devoir « découvrir » de nouveaux territoires où ancrer notre trop-plein identitaire? Bref, aurions-nous trop d'identités pour les territoires que l'oeil postmoderne nous laisse entrevoir? Et surtout, ce regard que nous posons sur nos villes s'est-il vraiment défait de son ancrage dans la modernité?

Abstract

Do the new urban territories that sprang up under the postmodern glance really exist or are they simply the result of some kind of geographical imagination? What if our multiple identities pushed us to seek new territories to discharge our overflow of identities? In short, do we have too many identities for the territories that the postmodern eye allowed us to see? And, above all, has the way we look at our cities really change or is it still link to a modern perspective?
