Digital devices have colonized many facets of our daily lives and compulsory schools are now appropriating this evolution. The announced learning goals are often associated with the notion of digital citizenship. At the same time, educational institutions are defining the digital learning environments that teachers and students must adopt. Positioning themselves in the digital humanities, the authors question the posted definitions of digital citizenship, confront them with the sui generis nature of the digital and its industry, and finally question the connection between these and the public school. Issues of citizen empowerment, autonomy and governance serve the analysis and allow us to conclude that it is necessary to debate the pedagogical-digital contradictions.

This article proposes to analyze cryptoassets as social innovations through their capacity to respond to new polymorphic needs and to transform the structuring institutions of the economic system. The framework of the School of Regulation defines five structural forms: money, competition, the wage relation, the state and the international order. The institution originally targeted by cryptoassets is money, responding to new needs (aspiration to currencies freed from states and banks, search for anonymity, ease for international transfers and credible alternative to the dollar). Cryptoassets also satisfy the new needs arising from global digital capitalism (the creation of communities, the valuation of digital goods and services, the co-production of services through the network).

Current standard social practices notably encompass the idea of an imperative change in our lifestyles, including how we use of digital technology, and, more broadly, citizen education in sustainability through notions of moderation and digital transition. So, to support the school sector in the process of integrating digital technology more sustainably, we have drawn up a typology of digital prudence. This typology is a proposal to contribute to an in-depth and nuanced understanding of digital technology for education. It aims to support teaching practices in a practical way by integrating prudential, systemic and socio-critical approaches to digital technology for education into teacher training at the basic and university levels.

This article questions the compatibility of current forms of digitalization with injunctions to make an ecological transition by juxtaposing the current of degrowth and the political economy of digital technology. Framed through the mutations of capitalism brought about by the cybernetic revolution, growth is expressed on three levels: as an ideology, a social process, and a material process. What emerges is a joint, dynamic relationship between the imperative of growth and the imperative of digitalization, which translates into a logic of algorithmic governmentality and renewed extractivism. This article therefore offers several anchor points for the critical analysis of the growth imperative in the context of contemporary digitalization .
